Art in the Park
Monday, Aug 5, 10am - 5pm, Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park. A big thanks to all the exhibitors and guests who attended Art in the Park 2018. It was an absolutely terrific event. Thanks to all of the artists who made the park come alive with their amazing creations. Congratulations to 2018 People’s Choice award winner: Brooke Cormier, Booth # 102. In 1965 the Society created Art in the Park to promote local artists and artisans, and today this show has blossomed into Oakville’s premiere art event. Featuring more than 175 artists and artisans from across the country, the event attracts thousands of people to the Bronte waterfront. Every medium is represented, from traditional oil, acrylic and water-colour paintings to glass, ceramics, photography, mixed media, sculptures and fine jewellery. Visitors will get to meet the artists and learn about the works they have created. Admission paid to get into Art in the Park Art plays a crucial role in the life of the Oakville Art Society. It affords the OAS an opportunity to raise funds to subsidize programming and act as a venue for furthering interest and knowledge of the world of art. Admission $5.00; Children under 12 are free.
