Shakespeare at the Rock: Twelfth Night
Coming Soon…Aug 12 to 30, 7pm, (weeknights), Royal Botanical Gardens - Rock Garden - 1185 York Boulevard, Hamilton. The historic Rock Garden provides the perfect atmosphere for a night of inspiring theatre under the stars. Don’t miss out on this highly physical and creative variation presented by Burlington’s own Tottering Biped Theatre. Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies, packed with mistaken identity, romance, farce, and a spirit of rebellion to rival 1980s Miami Beach nightlife. Twelfth Night follows an ensemble cast of clowns and lovers alike, all attempting to navigate courtship, relationships, and a few actual ships. At it’s core, the play is about looking for a life partner and finding yourself instead, often in the darkest and most bewildering of places. Each performance will include a 20 minute intermission. Rock Garden will close to the general public at 5:30pm on performance nights. This event occurs Aug 12 to Aug 30 - Exceptions to the pattern may occur. For tickets see links at rbg.ca/Shakespeare or call 905.527.1158
