Rotary Burlington Music Festival Grand Festival Concert
Coming Soon…Saturday, Nov 17. The Rotary Burlington Music Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The two week event runs from Monday, October 29, 2018 to Saturday, Nov 10, 2018. The Festival brings together over 400 young musicians from the Greater Burlington Community performing in strings, piano, classical voice and music theatre. The Festival culminates in the wonderful Grand Festival Concert featuring many of the winners from the two weeks of competition. The concert is an opportunity for some of the best young musicians to perform in a concert hall, to strive for excellence, to learn from others, and to enhance their musical studies. The Grand Festival Concert will be held at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, Nov 17, 2018 beginning at 7pm Admission to the Grand Festival Concert is $35 for adults, $20 for seniors and $15 for students. Everyone is urged to attend the Grand Festival Concert and enjoy the amazing performances of these talented young musicians. Cascades of Fire
Nov 9 – 18, Horseshoe Falls. For the first time ever, Niagara Falls will host the Cascades of Fire International Fireworks Competition as the signature event of the Winter Festival of Lights. Presented over 6 weekend nights in Nov, Cascades of Fire will feature 18 minute pyrotechnic shows synchronized to music. This year’s competition will feature presentations from China, Finland, Brazil, Vietnam, Italy with a special finale by Team Canada. Cascades of Fire International Fireworks Competition schedule occurs at 9pm on the following dates: Nov 9 - Team China; Nov 10 - Team Finland; Nov 11 - Team Brazil; Nov 16 - Team Vietnam; Nov 17 - Team Italy; Nov 18 - Team Canada Finale.
