Nov 15 & Nov 16. Kick off the holidays in downtown Brampton with the annual Winter Lights Festival presented by Northwest Lexus. Celebrate the first lighting of the tree in Ken Whillans Square, shop the outdoor holiday market, and enjoy Canada’s largest nighttime Santa Claus Parade presented by the Rotary Club of Brampton. Tree Lighting - Ken Whillans Square, Friday Nov 15 at 8pm. The annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is the official kickoff celebration for holiday season in Brampton. Together, Bramptonians will count down to light up the City’s 60-foot spruce tree, decorated with over 10,000 Christmas lights, in Ken Whillans Square. Watch the tree light up at 8pm, and enjoy free activities, light installations, and entertainment all evening long.
