Good Night Sleep Tight: Nightgowns from the Museum’s Collection
Now to September 30th, 2003
Guelph Civic Museum - 6 Dublin Street South, Guelph
The museum also maintains an extensive textile collection. From this group, curator Bev Dietrich has chosen several fine examples of nightgowns and accessories from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Found on the second floor of the museum, the three exhibit cases feature a man’s and woman’s nightgown (circa 1870) attributed to the Stone family, a trousseau set (night jacket and gown) and silk nightgowns from the 1930s.
