In the Soil Arts Festival
Coming Soon…April 28 – 30. In the Soil Arts Festival (ITS) is the region's only multidisciplinary arts festival to celebrate Niagara’s distinct contemporary arts and culture. Artists and arts organizations from the Niagara Region, alongside curated artists from throughout Canada, will take over downtown St. Catharines for a jam-packed program of live music, theatre, dance, film, streetscape installation art and more. With an artisan fair, workshops and interactive installations, ITS provides unique artistic experiences for the all ages. Now celebrating 9 years, ITS has grown into a distinctive, and highly anticipated multi-arts festival. In the Soil Arts Festival encourages audiences to discover new artists and art forms while promising a wide variety of offerings to choose from. Wild Ontario - ON150 Exhibit
Coming Soon…Apr 29 to Jun 11, 10am - 5pm, Butterfly Conservatory. A Celebration of Ontario's Biodiversity. This brand new bilingual exhibit at the Butterfly Conservatory will highlight the incredible biodiversity we have in our province and features a variety of species both common, and at risk in our communities and educates visitors about why some species may do well around people while others are at risk. An exciting chance to experience the 5 most well known classes of animals, mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, fish and invertebrate. You will see a barn owl, American kestrel, porcupine, skunk, wood turtle, spotted turtle, common toad, Grey tree frog, yellow spotted salamander, black rat snake, garter snake, gar pike, and a black widow. In addition to the live animal exhibit, panel displays will focus on species in Ontario including those at risk in Ontario, major ecosystems in Ontario, and what people in Ontario and around the world can do to assist species in their communities and their own backyards. April 21 to May 7, Garstin Centre for the Arts, 37 Market Street, Dundas, presented by Dundas Little Theatre. Called the funniest farce ever written, Noises Off presents a manic menagerie as a cast of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called Nothing's On.
